POSITION SUMMARY: Perform the professional functions of a IBCLC in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient in regards to lactation education. Coordinate, manage, provide and delegate patient?s lactation needs with other staff members and physicians as a consultant. Responsible for meeting the established Scope of Practice of a board certified lactation consultant, and promoting cooperation among the health care team. In addition, Lactation Consultant shall meet personal accountabilities as defined in the Tenet Target 100 standards of Service, People, Quality, Growth and Cost.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum: (1) Graduate of a school of nursing or dietician school, or Lactation consultant program. (2) Basic computer skills. (3) lactation education experience. Preferred: (1) Experience working with mother and baby couplets in low risk and high risk situations in outpatient and inpatient settings LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: (1) Current California RN license, or Current Registered Dietician if no IBCLC certification at the time of hire. (2) AHA-BLS-HCP. (3) NRP (within the first three months (4) Certification as a lactation educator or (5) IBCLC ?International Board Certification Lactation Consultant.(Must obtain within one year first of hire.) Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
